Pastapreneur and Owner of Pasta Made Simple
Chef Laurie Boucher is an attorney-turned–pasta chef and the former Pasta Chef at Café Campli—voted Baltimore’s Best Italian Restaurant in 2024. (The restaurant has since relocated to Italy, where Laurie has been invited to guest chef!) Chef Laurie is also the creator of an original pasta shape that was featured on Season 4 of The Bear.
Since 2018, Chef Laurie has been teaching the art of pasta making through Pasta Made Simple, offering private instruction, team-building experiences, and hands-on workshops in partnership with local businesses throughout Baltimore, Washington, DC, Delaware, Ocean City, and other coastal venues and beyond. She also shares her expertise through academic programming and nonprofit culinary work.
Chef Laurie has studied pasta making in Italy, including in Sicily and Bologna, and earned a certificate in pasta making through the Italian Cultural Institute in Calabria.
Chef Laurie holds dual AAS degrees—with honors—in Culinary Arts and Baking & Pastry Arts from the Hotel, Culinary Arts, and Tourism Institute at AACC.
Chef Laurie is a Certified Culinarian and Certified Pastry Chef through the American Culinary Federation and is ServSafe certified in both food safety and alcohol service.
