Ellen Zachos

Ellen Zachos is the author of eleven books about plants, a Harvard graduate, a Broadway veteran, and a horticulturist who enjoys nothing more than regaling anyone who will listen with stories about fascinating plants. She taught at the NYBG for many years, and also served as coordinator of the Gardening Department in Continuing Ed, before moving to Santa Fe, NM. Ellen was named a Great American Gardener by the Epcot Flower & Garden Festival, and for six years she was the co-host of the award-winning Plantrama podcast with C.L. Fornari. From Maine to California and beyond, Ellen speaks at flower shows and for garden clubs and horticultural organizations. It's one of her favorite things to do.
